All have been stable to the point of boring. Once client on sb2003 SP2 now adding simply http://www.techrepublic.com/forums/discussions/windows-2003-firewall-not-working-conflict-with-ipnatsys/ accounting premium in client-server configuration. I have installed this several times at other sites and always had to make firewall changes. This server is one NIC, NO ISA (uses firewall appliance). Try to open firewall and get the old "Windows firewall cannot run becuase another program or service is running https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/c8c4459f-f67f-4822-91c0-57361ee2a591/sbs2003-ipnatsys-and-firewall-issues-sbs2003-windows-firewall-cannot-run-because?forum=smallbusinessserver that might use the network address translation (IPNAT.SYS). I wnt back and looked at two clients with SAccounting that I did open up the firewall and they now show the same error. I rescanned all six sites how, all one NIC and all show they same. Need to resolve this to set SA working. Again, no ISA, one NIC, all updated and working well. Most have Symantec Endpoint SBS (V12) but not all. If you have configured RRAS to NAT - which will not work, as you are running a single NIC. Stop Routing and Remote Access or reconfigure it and retry. Only ISA or RRAS can take over the Windows Firewall IPNAT driver. If there is no ISA

Here's a thought,if you have RRAS running on your server check that the NAT/Basic Firewall component is NOT enabled. If this setting is enabled it will ipnat.sys error windows prevent Windows Firewall from working. This component of RRAS uses the Ipnat.sys file to function. If you have 2 NICs scenarios that the NAT is enabled on the SBS 2003server external NIC in RRAS (or ISA). The NAT driver (Ipnat.sys) providesthe network address translation function. It is used by RRAS and WindowsFirewall (or ICS). However, once you enable the NAT in the RRAS, theIpnat.sys will be occupied and Windows Firewall cannot start properly. Thatexplains the error message " Windows firewall cannot run because anotherprogram or service is running that might use the network addresstranslation component" (Ipnat.sys)".
