I have a brand spanking new MacBook with OS 10.6.4 installed.

using the OSX system disc to no effect. When I try deauthorizing the same error message comes up. I also don't see how that could be a problem seeing as this computer is brand new and has never been authorized to any account on iTunes.P.S. I assume since the computer is new that the file containing your authorization information is located on the other computer.Repairing permissions won't help since permissions in the Home folder are never touched, and furthermore, I think the problem is related to the missing file, not a permissions error.
