Discussion Hi all, I'm trying to register for Wifi Fluid calling for the first time, and after entering the information from my dashboard into CSipSimple (on android,
Magicjack Expired But Still Works
if it matters), I get a message "Error while registering - Forbidden" I'm magicjack incoming calls not working on the Sunny plan, if that helps. Are there any gotchas to use this service? Is the service down? Comments hhfpphone renew magicjack subscription free Ethical Committee 196 May 23 I just checked, works for me.Forbidden means access denied.Double check your password...https://social.ringplus.net/discussion/2877/faq-set-up-fluid-call/p1 HelloG Novice 0 May 23 Thanks for the quick response. I've double-checked the password, and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=814468&page=2 it matches the entry in the dashboard. Now I've reset the password and even with the new password, I am getting the same response when I attempt to register In CSipSimple I've entered my username (phone number), domain (sip.ringplus.net) and password as shown on the dashboard. Anything else I need to do beyond this? BTW, I've successfully used CSipSimple in the past with another https://social.ringplus.net/discussion/5272/resolved-wifi-fluid-calling-cannot-register-forbidden provider (not currently active) so I'm fairly certain the app is OK on my Android device. hhfpphone Ethical Committee 196 May 23 Is it possible someone else is connected to it? Have you tried this on another device previously? Only 1 connection at a time... that's the only other thing I can think of... HelloG Novice 0 May 23 Hmm...situation seems to have resolved itself. Status went from Inactive to showing that my number is connected. Test call succeeded. Should help with an upcoming trip where I'll be have to use VOIP. HelloG Novice 0 May 24 Follow up question: since I can't get R+ service in the area that I am traveling in, can I use CSipSimple on a different phone and still register with my R+ credentials on that? That will help me avoid carrying two phone with me...one R+ with Fluidcall and a separate GSM phone. Thanks hhfpphone Ethical Committee 196 May 24 Yes, VOIP just requires internet access... unless you get blocked where you are going. Some overseas ISPs block VOIP to protect their revenue. Line occupied. SIP Error: 403 Forbidden. How do I fix that error? Almost all "SIP Errors" are from your VOIP service. One problem with the error code and message is that not all VOIP http://www.digitaloffensive.com/2010/03/hacking-the-magic-jack-in-2010-for-use-on-trixbox-or-any-other-sip-device/ services use the same code. For example, you could also get a SIP Error: 403 Not Subscribed error from other services. There are a few things you can check to fix this error: 1. Make how to sure your VOIP account has enough money to make outbound calls 2. If you are using multiple lines, make sure your account support multiple channels. If you use callcentric, make sure you login to your account, and set "allow simultaneous calls" for your SIP settings. 3. It may need longer disconnect time to free up the "line". Open Voicent gateway, select Setup > Options > Outbound, increase the hangup time to magic jack renewal 30 seconds. If it fixes the problem, then reduce the hangup time. 4. Make sure you specify phone number in the correct format. Normally, in the US and Canada, you need to specify 1 for the country code. So if you are calling 123-456-7890, you need to specify 1-123-456-7890. There is normally no such a thing as a ‘local call' for your VOIP account. You can do so also by setting a dialing rule on Voicent gateway. If all of the above does not fix the problem, try to use a softphone (like x-lite) or Voicent AgentDialer semi-automatic dialing mode to call the number. You may hear more audio information as to why the call is forbidden. If you still cannot figure out, call your VOIP service provider. Just ask them you are using a soft phone (x lite) to call, and the call is not connected. It is important not to mention you are using a dialer. This will confuse them. In many cases, they will simply say they do not support dialer when they cannot figure out what the issue is. Just tell then you are using x lite softphone. Most VOIP support technicians have experience with soft phone issues Share This Post: Facebook Tweet Google
the Magic Jack in 2010 for use on Trixbox or any other SIP device Posted on Thursday, 11th March 2010 by Michael Hacking the Magic Jack in 2010 for use on Trixbox or any other SIP device The concept and art of hacking the Magic Jack is actually really old. The reason I am writing this is that over the last year the process has become much harder. There is definitely ample information available online that if you were to spend weeks reading you could easily do this. What is the Magic Jack: The Magic Jack is a small USB dongle that plugs into a computer and telephone to provide the end user a low cost phone service through the power of VoIP and ads. There are many thoughts on this product some good and many bad. Many people believe this product to be riddled with spyware based on their poorly worded TOS that you must accept to use
