The errors i get are as follows: Napster gives an error of "the device has stop responding" MediaSource gives a generic transfer error WindowsMediaPlayer gives a "i/o thread http://forums.creative.com/showthread.php?t=135979 error" Again, with mediaplayer and mediasource i can transfer just fine a regular mp3. I am using the lastest firmware and drivers, and XP. Any ideas? Each time I can install exactly 879 songs from napster, then it starts behaving badly and won't respond to the sync. I've tried reformatting, reinstalling firmware, updating napster, WMP, drivers, etc. Reply With Quote 11-14-2005,08:24 AM #3 RBBrittain View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Top Contributor Join Date Jul 2005 Posts 799 Re: Error transferring Napster songs but not regular mp3s First, install the hotfixes described in the FAQs. Then, go into recovery mode and reformat the player. (Reformatting is mentioned in Yahoo! Music Unlimited help for Micros that have "I/O thread" errors.) Yes, I made it! sort by: active | newest | oldestronalds19846 years agoReplyYeah but if you ask me, for every conversion you do on a file there is a slight quality loss, although I think the difference between an original file and the recording is hardly noticeable, especially since you say you need to transfer napster music to cell phone. Anyways, I suppose you can take a look at tunebite converter, haven't used it to unlock napster music but I saw mentioned round their website that it also works for napster protection removal so I guess it should unlock napster songs for your cell phone. The only problem is that I have to find a Napster DRM protection removal which can unprotect my Napster music without losing in quality, because indeed I really don't want to have some awful Napster songs on my cell phone. I'd rather get a new phone which is compatible with Napster service subscription th
