a certain threshold that is considered acceptable? The reason I ask is because I'm willing to bet many people's "stable" overclocks would in fact induce errors in OCCT's gpu test with error check enabled. I for one thought I had a 100% stable overclock with my GPU. Everything plays great, no artifacts, no lockups... but OCCT will slowly trickle out errors after a minute or two of running the GPU test

That's why stability is a relative term . It's really what you "feel" is stable, but I always add the caveat that a GPU on the edge of stability may degrade the gaming experience in ways that one might not generally attribute to overclocking (many times stuttering or patchy framerate rather than artifacting). That said, I use a combination of OCCT and Left 4 Dead (oddly eno

Is there any how to GPU memory test utility which is reliable? I didn't notice a single artifact in case if I use Heaven or 3DMark, Furmark or Kombustor. Conversely OCCT gives me a couple of error after 5 minutes. Every experience or opinion is welcome. realismo View Public Profile Find all posts by realismo (#2) xeph Master Guru Videocard: MSI GTX 970 1480/7200 Processor: 4670k 4.4 1.255v Mainboard: MSI how to use GAMING 5 Z97 Memory: DDR3 8GB 1600mhz G.skill Soundcard: Onboard PSU: Seasonic M12ii EVO 620w 10-19-2015, 07:58 | posts: 370 | Location: United Kingdom ive used it before, it does seem to find artifacts like you see here, so lower your oc, but the best way to test your oc is games.. i am 100% stable in heaven, 3d mark, valley, occt gpu, but far cry 4 after an hour or so artifacts like crazy at 1530mhz, and i am only stable at 1480mhz.. so my advice is play your games, however it is good to get an idea with benches and stress tests though.. xeph View Public Profile Find all posts by xeph (#3) VAlbomb Member Guru Videocard: G1 Gaming GTX 970 Processor: i5 4690K Mainboard: Memory: DDR3 16GB Soundcard: PSU: 600W 10-19-2015, 08:04 | posts: 108 I only use OCCT to test memory overclock and it seems really reliable when it comes to this but for core overclock I won't recommend it. To test core stability I recommend playing games, I've noticed that Chivalry is one game that it's good for this test since a little instability is enough for a complete crash while most games would just stutter or freeze for seconds,
