Changing Start type of this Service from Automatic to Manual is good solution ? Here: http://www.sitepoint.com/unblock-port-80-on-windows-run-apache/ is such advice. Today it was turned off using simply Task Manager, but maybe this too brutal way. The Run servers as services in Vertrigo is unchecked, but Web Deployment Agent Service was blocking Vertrigo. Microsoft Matrix can run php too. share|improve this answer edited Sep 27 '15 at 9:08 answered Sep 24 '15 at 1:32 darekk 4116 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. When I start everything up, MySQL starts fine but Apache gives me the following error: "Apache HTTP server does not work correctly. Check whether other applications use the server port (usually 80) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18054932/vertrigoserv-apache-http-server-port-80-already-in-use and terminate them. Moreover, check firewall settings and correctness the configuration files" I reconfigured the httpd.conf file to run Apache on port 80 instead of the default 8080. I do have IIS running but only for FTP purposes (but even without IIS installed it still fails), and the results from a netstat -a -o -n shows that port 80 is not in use. Also turned the local Windows firewall off and tried running Vertrigo in compatibility https://sourceforge.net/p/vertrigo/discussion/2083479/thread/61e4827c/ mode to no avail, this is a fresh VM so nothing else has been installed (AV, Skype, etc…). Is there any way to run Vertrigo on the Server 2008 R2 platform or will I have to revert to Server 2003? In any case, I'm hoping this helps someone out. I found that there were no issues running Vertrigo when I took the server off of our domain, but it failed when the same server was put onto our domain. Flipped/flopped this multiple times and the symptoms never changed, making me think permissions was the issue. After putting the server back on the domain I re-pushed security settings from the VertrigoServ folder, then set Vertrigo.exe to always run as administrator under Compatibility settings. After that it's been working like a charm.
