Third party modifications Note on release Since there is still a high demand for preloader and I don't really want to work on it anymore I thought it would be the best to release the source. Source is released under GNU GPL 2. Warning PLEASE READ THE WHOLE README BEFORE RUNNING THE INSTALLER. THIS TOOL MODIFIES THE NORMAL BEHAVIOR OF THE WII SYSTEM AND THEREFORE CAN CAUSE UNEXPECTED PROBLEMS. IT priiloader 4.3e download IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO INSTALL PRELOADER ONLY ON A WII WITH UNMODIFIED IOSs!! Note on compiling Code has been tested on the latest devkitPro with devkitPPC and should compile fine. Before you can compile anything you need to place a certs.bin into the data directory. What is Preloader and what does it do? Preloader is a small application which places itself before the System Menu. Its main feature is to directly boot the Homebrew Channel or a file you can install from a FAT device. Preloader is also able to apply memory patches to the system menu to remove limitations or other things. Since Preloader places itself before the System Menu any problems that would cause the System Menu to fail are not causing your whole Wii to stop working. If autoboot is enabled and you want to access Preloader's menu simply hold RESET while powering the Wii on. Hacks To install additional System Menu patches, simply copy the "hacks.ini" file included with preloader into the root of your SD card. (Ensure you are using the correct hack

Could not get TMD size! This occurs when the I boot the wii and the hard drive is still spinning up. My hard drive is inside an old enclosure and does not go to sleep. So when I shut off my system, I power off the hard drive as well as the wii. When I boot the system I power up the drive first and then the wii. If I do not wait until the drive is fully spun up, then the error occurs. My friends system that I setup has a drive in a newer enclosure and his does go to sleep so he never powers of his drive. His drive will automatically power down when he shuts down the wii. Every now and then he is experiencing this same problem when his drive has not fully spun up. The interesting thing is that if I do not power my drive up at all and boot the Wii, the problem never occurs and I go straight to the system menu. Is there anything that can be done about this? Thanks... Original issue reported on code.google.com by gsoud...@cox.net on 13 May 2010 at 12:27 GoogleCodeExporter commented Jun 1, 2015 I forgot to mention that once this occurs, priiloader is stuck and will not launch the System Menu or the Homebrew Channel. This is the case even though the drive is now fully spun up... Original comment by gsoud...@cox.net on 13 May 2010 at 12:30 GoogleCodeExporter commented Jun 1, 2015 Are you using r81 or greater, I think this should be fixed in at least r81. Original comment by o...@4u.net on 14 May 2010 at 11:37 GoogleCodeExporter commented Jun 1, 2015 I am still running R78 the featured release. I am waiting on the green bar thing to be fixed. Thanks for working on that fix. BTW how does one go about getting the mini releases? I will try R81 and check see if this problem still exists. Thanks...
