You might kindly let us know the Windows version used on the local machine, i.e. the machine where you type the psexec commandline. the Windows version used on the target machine, i.e. the machine referred to by the string "\\servername" Have you used previous psexec versions successfully on the same machines by the way? P.S.: And you must not enclose the internal cmd.exe command ver in double quotes. You need to specify the session number after the -i parameter. You can query the currently logged on users (and their session numbers) using the quser /SERVER:computerOne command beforehand. For quick&dirty testing you can assume that the session ID of the first interactively logged-on us
