Hp Printer Error 41.2
week out of the box. Was fine one day and then bam, problems the next. Would spew out blank pages and would flash the 41.2 error on the screen. I understand it to be some issue with the laser or beam. Fortunately it can be returned and I'll give it a go with another one...but now I'm wondering about reliability of this particular model. The 2420 I had lasted about 5 years and worked great - would still have it if the fuser drum (I think that's what was the problem) hadn't become scratched and print jobs became slightly streaky. If the part wasn't $400, I would have fixed it. Here's hoping that this one was just the dud of the bunch.... Respond to this 0 Boy someone was trying to screw you. The fuser assy. costs less than 1/2 that even throwing labor in. Most times you can replace just the sleeve, which will cost you less than $30.As for the 3005, it has lots of problems. You can do a forum search on 3005 and get an idea of how bad it is. by Anonymous on May 19, 2009 at 11:16pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Hmmm...not surprised really. Will have to see if I can hunt down a replacement sleeve (having a second printer would be handy) and hope to the tech gods that someone (ie me) with no printer tearing apart skills can figure it out. Just a quick confirmation - you mean that blue/green colored sleeve on the roller that you can see from the back of the printer? It looks vaguely like the one in the toner cartridge. Is that the fuser assembly? by greenfishfiles on May 21, 2009 at 1:45pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Fuser Sleeves are gray, black, or brown. The LaserJet 2200 sleeve they sell on this site also fit's the 2400 fusers. by Stephen on May 22, 2009 at 4:39pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Our company bought a bunch of the 3005s, and in almost every one of them, the fuser sleeve is or has failed. What's worse is that HP doesn't seem to care. Since they're past their warranty (most of them by age only), we have to pay to have them replaced. The one I use is just over a year old and only has about 2550 sheets through it, and the fuser sleeve is already shredding. We're switching to Lexmark, because I refuse to keep spending money replacing something that shouldn't be breaking down that quickly. by Anonymous on Jul 1, 2009 at 10:34am Add comment Please sign in to comment Please sign in to comment HP DeskJet 400 Buy discount ink Buy this printer More HP questions © Copyright 2011

MAKING A GRINDING NOISE WHEN PRINTING Q: I have an hp laserjet 4250 making a grinding noise when it prints. The printer as far as I can tell seems to be functioning fine, in the sense that there are no reoccurring paper jams or image defects. When we look closer at the machine it seems like the noise is coming from the rear of the printer. I cant really see anything from that angle, but am afraid to pull it apart for fear of not putting it back together properly. Any ideas A: HP laserjet 4250 grinding noise is a very common problem with these printers. Mostly it stems from the hp 4250 fuser assembly and the 4250 swing plate assembly not properly engaging each other due to worn down gears. When the gears become worn they will not properly align and you will start to hear the grinding noises that you are describing. This is a problem that if not addressed will result in paper jams and an ultimate shutting down of the 4250 printer. Replacing the hp laserjet 4250 swing plate assembly and the hp laser 4250 fuser assembly will resolve your grinding noise while printer issue HP LASERJET 4250 PERFORM PRINTER MAINTENANCE MESSAGE Q: I have an hp laserjet 4250 perform printer maintenance message on the display panel of my printer. The printer has yet to stop running but I am concerned that something bad will happen if I keep printing on it. Do you have any suggestions as to why this perform printer maintenance message has popped up and is there anything that I can do to clear this message? A: When your hp laserjet 4250 perform printer maintenance message appears on your display panel it is time to install a hp laserjet 4250 maintenance kit (q5421a). The printer is programmed to display that message after 200,000 pages have been printed out of the printer. The rollers and fuser assembly are rated for 200,000 prints give or take depending on operating environment and media. Much like any other consumable part, after a certain amount of use they are required to be replaced. Purchasing a maintenance kit and installing will get your HP laserjet 4250 running as it should. HP LASERJET 4250 ERROR 60.02 Q: I have an hp laserjet 4250 error 60.02 that wont seem to go away. What causes this error 60.02? A: HP laserjet 4250 error 60.02 are caused by the lifter motor not properly lifting the tray 2 cassette. This can be caused either by a faulty tray 2 cassette or a faulty lifter motor. Pulling the tray 2 cassette out and inspecting it will reveal any problems. If
