Code 52.00 09/28/13 01:31:26 am, by admin, 269 words Categories: LaserJet Error Codes and Repair, LaserJet P3005 LaserJet P3005 Error Code 52.00 Tweet LaserJet P3005dn Error Code 52.00 turn printer off and back on to continue. Error code seems to apply to all P3005 LaserJet printer models. According to the manuals this error code indicates a malfunction in the Laser Scanner Motor. While in some or most cases this may be true, this week I found this error code on a machine and it had nothing to do with the Laser Scanner. Follow up: When the printer was switched on and began it's power on self test, http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/P3005DN-WITH-52-00-ERROR/td-p/5458404 the paper path motors would run to initialize, the output drive mechanism would turn a revolution or two then stop with a grinding noise. The printer would proceed to a ready prompt. But it got interesting when I pushed the Engine Test button. The printer for a second would sound like it was going to feed paper, all of the paper path motors and drive lines would start to turn, then http://www.designjetparts.com/blog/index.php/2013/09/28/p3005error5200?blog=3 the final output roller would stop with a grinding noise and the display would read: Error 52.00 Turn printer off then back on. Sponsor: Removed the top cover and manually rotated the final output drive roller, about once every 3 to 4 revolutions would result in the same gear grinding noise. Of course the solution was to replace the output assembly and be done. But, the error 52.00 and the incorrect identification of this error being related to the Laser Scanner assembly or motor was not accurate, or in this case, even close. this toner dirt (horizontal) on the paper. In the process of figuring this out I tried a toner from a LJ2100 (after breaking the notch).First the printer accepted it and gave the non-hp catridge detected (because of the missing chips). Then when i try to print it gave a 52.00 error. After that the original toner still worked. However after some while the printer gave the 52.00 error again. When I now put in the LJ2100 catridge it does not accept it and gives a 10.00.00 SUPPLIES MEMORY ERROR instead of non-hp catridge error. Can this be only the original toner being defect? or is it also the ECU board that I see mentioned in another topic. Can inserting a LJ2100 toner give this problem? The 52.00 error seems to be scanner related, but this is not what I think. Now I think the toner dirth is caused by the toner. But I don't think that I only need a new toner ;-)Sjaak Respond to this 0 In your case since you put in the wrong cartridge it has something to do with the shutter tab on the cartridge. In other words when you insert the cartridge it has a tab which moves the shutter away from the laser/scanner and I guess it is possible that you may have dislodge you actual shutter mech on the printer. Only way to tell is by removing the top cover and checking the movement as you insert the toner. by dmzcompute on Jul 21, 2007 at 7:11am Add comment Please sign in to comment Thanks dmzcompute.Do you mean the small tab on the top (front) of cartrigde. This one is broken of, because of the insertion in the other printer. What you mean is that this small tab opens the laser/scanner mechanism. So the other toner cartridge will not damage the electrics in the printer? Then only the beam can bot reach the drum anymore. - Sjaka 0 What I am saying is putting the wrong cartridge in the printer may have parti
