HP Officejet 6210 - Incorrect (Color/Black or Photo) Cartridge Installed Problem After you install a print cartridge, the following message appears on the color graph
many times before. tried two new cartidges and even tried putting old cartridge back in. same message every time no matter turning machine off/on, in/out, etc. help. http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/32208 Respond to this 0 Gently clean the contacts in the carriage, and on the cartridges with a paper towel or coffee filter moistened with water. It could be a bad carriage board or cable. by https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-clear-an-hp-check-printer-cartridge-error-code Stephen on Sep 26, 2005 at 5:47pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 cartridge bad, you replace new cartridge by unknown on Nov 22, 2006 at 11:07pm Add comment Please sign hp printer in to comment 0 I received the messege "Incorrect black ink cartridge installed" on my HP PSC 750. After reading numerous messages, I did try to clean the contacts but it did not help. Somewhere in one of the messages was a comment about the contacts being movable. I checked mine, and they are movable. Also noticed that one of the contacts did not stick out incorrect black cartridge as far as the others. I gently teased that contact with a probe until it came out into proper allignment with the rest of the contacts. The message went away and the printer now works. So - if cleaning does not work - check contact allignment. by ldholman on Jun 4, 2007 at 9:52am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 One important fact, the PSC 750 uses #15 & #78 cartridges, and the carriage board has spring loaded pins. The PSC 950 carriage board has contacts on it and the cartridges are pushed up against them, but they are a totally different style contact, (no springs). by Stephen on Jun 4, 2007 at 4:01pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Had the same problem. Had changed black cartridge #15 as indicated but all the time I needed to change the #78 cartridge. All is working great. Message was telling me "error: incorrect cartridge installed". by cocoon on Feb 12, 2016 at 12:15pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Had the same problem.
