FOR AT LEAST 5 MINUTES. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND WHAT IS THE FIX? THANKS, GEORGE Respond to this 2 Help! My HP psc 2210xi is "stuck" http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/25789 and won't function at all. A co-worker recently changed the black print cartridge and the http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/26232 printer is now forever telling us that we need to align the cartridges.However....when we try to align the cartridges about 1/3 of the way through we get the message that the alignment is cancelled, the print page is spit out partially complete, and the 'align cartridge' error message resumes. This is true whether the alignment is begun from the printer's menu commands hp printer or from the computer diagnostic toolbox.I cannot print, fax, or copy. The printer does not function at all.The user's manual seems to imply that the alignment is a fix-all. It makes no mention of what to do when the alignment itself fails.Any ideas? I'd sure appreciate any help. Thanks. by unknown on Sep 14, 2005 at 3:44pm Add comment Please sign in to comment mine has just done the same thing (i.e. continuously sends align print cartridge hp psc 2210 message, but stops 1/3 way through process and demands anew to align the cartridges). i've tried un-installing and reinstalling the software, turning everything off, etc., but nothing works. now the new hardware won't even setup with the printer, so i have no connection with the device and my computer at all. help? - blue67 0 Printer will not print unless I pull power plug for about 5 minutes. After repowering it prints fine. Seems that when it goes into the sleep mode is when print commands are not accepted. Has anyone else had this problem with the HP PSC 2210XI ?????? I have reloaded driver and also done a hard reset but the same thing occurs. Pulling the plug works but it is also very annoying. Would appreciate any comments. Thanks, George by George on Dec 19, 2004 at 4:17pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Hello George This is what HP says: HP All-in-One Products - Unit Does Not Function After Sitting in Power Save Mode ISSUE: After sitting in power save mode for a long period of time the unit will not function properly. Symptoms include not printing, scanning, copying or faxing. This occurs when the unit is plugged into a surge protector. SOLUTION: Unplug the unit from the surge protector and plug directly into the wall power socket. CAUSE: When the printer goes int
right or left cartridge. All of the function buttons are flashing. I can't communicate with it from the computer, but if I insert an SD card from my camera it appears to begin reading it--but it does not print a contact sheet. I have tried cleaning the cartridge contacts, restarting it with and without cartridges and/or the USB cable, and resetting it by plugging it in with the # and 6 keys pressed. When I turn it on, it initializes then begins flashing and displaying the "check cartridge" error. What else can I do to reset it or clear the error? It's no longer under warranty. I would really appreciate any suggestions. Respond to this 2 Hi, I'm another one who just got into the 'pissed-off' group. My PSC 2355 somehow refuses to recognize the original cartridge which came with the printer. I didn't use it for some months and, just when I tried to use it again, voila! stopped working. Made some cleaning on everything 'cleanable' and yet nothing. Does any one knows any special key combo (in my printer, enabled by pressing Left+Right buttons, and then 1,2,3 or 1,2,4 bottons) which disables or overrides the cartridge checking? (By the way, the printer makes IS able to print color test pages perfectly, so both the cartridges work)Thanks in advance. by Anonymous on Dec 11, 2005 at 5:20am Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 My 2210 message tells me to align print cartridges. It only prints 3 lines and cancels. I have tried new cartridges and cleaning with alchol and swabs. Message will not go away. by unknown on Aug 4, 2005 at 8:26am Add comment Please sign in to comment Installed new black cartridge #56 for printer and and removed and re-installed it 4 times today and am constantly getting message to Press Enter to align cartridges. Tried cleaning cartridge system 2x with no result. Message continues. Any clues as to how to fix this problem will be much appreciated. - Anonymous Thank you for this information. It really does work. - Anonymous 1 Ive joined the "pissed off group" Can anyone tell me how to sort out the "paper mismatch" error???? Also nothing prints. *shows HP middle finger" by unknown on Mar 29, 2006 at 12:32am Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 I had the "check cartridge" error for the black cartridge (a half-full Rymans remanufactured cartridge - apparently "in date"). I replaced it with a brand new Rymans remanufactured cartridge with a 2008 expiry date printed on the box. No change. I tried many of the fixes suggested on here with no success.Today I went out and bought a HP black cartridge and installed it. Immediate success. This does look as if HP has do
