The check printer cartridge light is blinking. Which indicates a problem with the color cartridge. I was reluctant to replace it since ive never printed much color, but did anyway. There is no change even with a new cartridge. This is annoying as hell. new cartridge a week or so ago, and it worked fine for the first 2-4 prints...then all of a sudden all of the lights started blinking, including power, and won't respond or do anything. On HP.com, all they say is "fatal error, please service" - http://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/42833 which doesn't help me a damn bit.I'd be grateful if someone could please help me out here, as http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=187058 I'm an avid student who needs to print out reports.ThanksHP PSC 1210 ALL-IN-ONE-Nihsnek Respond to this 0 There is a slim chance that a cartridge is bad.Usually I find this is caused by a bad carriage board.Getting a good board to test it with will be the problem. by Stephen on Nov 28, 2006 at 7:39pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Well crap, talk about a crappy piece of hp psc hardware. The cartridges are brand new, and I've used them to print some stuff out before the freeze.Any other advice? - unknown 0 How much did it cost?I seem to recall they were about $70, cheap equipment is not designed to last forever, 2 years is pretty good. The current machine that does what that one did could be a C3180.http://www.amazon.comThey use different cartridges. by Stephen on Nov 29, 2006 at 6:29am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 It cost me $150, plus I've probably spent $200+ in cartridges hp psc 1210 alone. Personally, what printer(just printer), would you recommend under $150? by Anonymous on Nov 29, 2006 at 3:22pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 If you can find a DeskJet 5650 grab it. (it uses #56 & 57 cartridges)Search the forums for that model, they hardly ever break.I have 8 or 9, I only have two installed though...If you are looking for a laser printer either the HP LaserJet 4, 4+, or 5 would be the Technicians Choice. by Stephen on Nov 29, 2006 at 3:51pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Every time i turn the printer on,verfiy paper and cartridge lite is blinking all the time and my printer will not print anything. Now upon installing the new ink cartridge- like I have done for the past 5 years nearly, I get the message "Cartridge error" and it says there is a problem with the black cartridge. The cartridge is no.56 HP genuine blank cartridge and for some reason when I put it in it just comes up with the error on trying to print and the 'Check Print Cartridge' light keeps flashing and the 'Number of copies' comes up with E (E for error) on the printer itself. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/g...name=c00094661 This link is to the exact problem I have. I have cleaned the cartridges and followed that guide, yet nothing works. I have contacted HP and all they say is to ring- which I will do, however I was wondering if anyone could help me first? If it is a dodgy cartridge then I have to buy a new one which is ridiculous, seeing as I've just purchased a brand new one- and I bet I wont be able to get a refund either seeing as I have no packaging!? And if I do buy a new one to fix the problem and that doesnt work I would have wasted a lot of money on ink. Any help would be great Morbz morby View Public Profile Find all posts by morby #2 September 2nd, 2008, 09:10 PM Murf Moderator Join Date: Oct 2001 O/S: Windows 10 Home Location: Newport News VA Age: 71 Posts: 16,683 Not familiar with that printer but if you followed everything in the link, then appears the cartridge is bad. Even though new could be bad. As explained in the link bad contacts can cause, but you cleaned them?? If you still have the old cartridge (even though
