powered up and hits the little 'hooks' near the centre of the machine. It seems like the carriage does not synchronise properly with the little 'hook's (paper feeders?) Turns out, the problem wasn't with my printer. I uninstalled IE7, and reinstalled IE6. It works fine, again. You might want to try that. - Anonymous 3 Hey, same problem some other people have been having. My HP 1210 all-in-one is giving hp psc 1210 me trouble. The LED that represents the number of copies is reading "E" and the "check print cartridges" light keeps flashing an orange color. I removed both the color and b&w cartridges and cleaned the terminals with a qtip. Then tried putting the color one in ONLY. No change whatsoever.So, I then took that out and tried the B&W ONLY. Printed a paper... no problem. The orange flashing light by the "check printer cartridges" remained blinking while the "E" was replaced with the number "1". I kept trying the color cartridge and i'm getting nothing from it. I would assume the cartridge is at fault, but it was working just fine and was a good 2/3 full last time i used it. Now upon installing the new ink cartridge- like I have done for the past 5 years nearly, I get the message "Cartridge error" and it says there is a problem with the black cartridge. The cartridge is no.56 HP genuine blank cartridge and for some reason when I put it in it just comes up with the error on trying to print and the 'Check Print Cartridge' light keeps flashing and the 'Number of copies' comes up with E (E for error) on the printer itself. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/g...name=c00094661 This link is to the exact problem I have. I have cleaned the cartridges and followed that guide, yet nothing works. I have contacted HP and all they say is to ring- which I will do, however I was wondering if anyone could help me first? Even though new could be bad.
