Any ideas, please?! - unknown Please tell me if you resolved problem with hp psc please align cartrige alignment message on window. I've tried shutting down, new cartrige, nothing is working. I've pressed enter like it tells you, press enter to align cartrige, and still nothing. Help. - Anonymous 0 Same here. Mine is a 2002 PSC 950 and has only one failure, which only recently begun happening. Mine says "Warming up" almost every time I try to scan, whether or not I am faxing, scanning or copying. It also does it when I am importing from Photoshop or hp psc 950 other applications. I tried downloading drivers or patches, but are completely up to date. Any help would be great. by unknown on Sep 1, 2003 at 5:05pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 A HP tech tip says to turn it off, wait 8 seconds, and turn it back on.But as I told the other post:I have limited experience with your particular model but from general experience I would speculate that you have a defective scanner. There is a replacement part available (P/N C7296-60002) but don't check the price unless you want to risk going into shock. by Bert on Sep 2, 2003 at 11:05am Add comment Please sign in to comment Bert,Bella_Donna says that you sent her a link with advice for this problem with the 950, and it worked for her. Sounds like a proven winner, worth spreading the word. Would you kindly post that web address here? I'm dealing with the same problem.--John Hupp - jd_hupp 0 Had same problem. However we noticed that we had turned it off and when we returned room was cold. And when we turned it on we got the message. We finally decided (who knows why) to heat the whole room up to 78 deg. and restarted; light went out and it has been working so far. We are far from being experts and I know this sounds to good to be true, but it is working for us. Hope this helps someone else. by unknown on
try to scan, copy or fax with it. It stays on "Warming up" screen indefinitely, and eventually causes me to shut off, re-start and get rid of what I was trying to do. Any help would be great. I tried going to HP.com and downloading patches, or updated software, as well as look at their tech tips, but all it mentions is to restart (which doesn't help). My software is up to date. I am running a P4 2400+ Athalon with XP Pro Respond to this 1 If you are having a warming up problem with your HP PSC 950 (waiting to COPY) and are totally frustrated that none of the other easy fixes (resets, #3 and #6) has worked, try this:1. Turn off the power, unplug2. Remove the control panel on the right side by prying off the control box cover with a small flat screw driver, then do the same with the control box underneath.3. Take off the copy cover, followed by the two small screws at the back/top of the glass cover/scanner unit. These screws are tricky to remove and in the end you might break the plastic in desperation in prying up the cover! Don't worry, your unit is useless anyway and a couple of missing screws is worth the sacrifice of fixing the copy function. Disconnect the connector multicable, noting how it came out.4. Pry up the grey cover on the copy/scan unit to expose the bulb housing. Don't touch the bulb, but open the cover of the black plastic housing to the right side of the bulb. This can be a bit tricky too, but will come with a bit of encouragement.5. With a soft, clean cloth give the mirror a wipe to remove any dirt/dust. 6. LEAVE THE BLACK COVER OFF7. Reassemble the unit, making sure that the multicable is properly seated.8. Plug in, turn on and the copy function should work.Good luck. Takes 10 minutes and a good chance of getting all your prinetr functins working again. by tomahawk on Aug 4, 2006 at 4:04pm Add comment Please sign in to comment worked great. thanks tomahawk - Anonymous It's been almost 2 years after your post and it still works!
