many times before. tried two new cartidges and even tried putting old cartridge back in. same message every time no matter turning machine off/on, in/out, etc. help. After reading numerous messages, I did try to clean the contacts but it did not help. Somewhere in one of the messages was a comment about the contacts being movable. I checked mine, and they are movable. Also noticed that one of the contacts did not stick out as far as the others. I gently teased that contact with a probe until it came out into proper allignment with the rest of the contacts. The message went away and the printer now works. So - if cleaning does not work - check contact allignment. by ldholman on Jun 4, 2007 at 9:52am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 One important fact, the PSC 750 uses #15 & #78 cartridges, and the carriage board has spring loaded pins.The PSC 950 carriage board has contacts on it and the cartridges are pushed up against them, but they are a totally different style contact, (no springs). by Stephen on Jun 4, 2007 at 4:01pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Had the same problem. Had changed black cartridge #15 as indicated but all the time I needed to change the #78 cartridge. All is working great.
