Hp Psc 1210 Troubleshooting
on Mar 10, 2006 at 2:56pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Hi Stephen,I hp psc 1350 printer troubleshooting have a customers machine (psc 1350) with all lights blinking. This appears to be a "fatal error" according to HP site. That is as hp psc 1350 check paper light flashing usefull as a chocolate teapot! I can do a reset by holding the "on" & "paper type". The scanner initialises (not sure if completely) Then the fatal error returns! I am going mad!! Any ideas?Dazz UK by hpwizard on Oct http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00095908 24, 2006 at 4:07am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Not much you can do without parts.I would make sure the carriage cables were plugged in, and if I had a spare carriage assembly or board I would swap it out.In the DeskJet 900 series printers when I had a fatal error it was usually the carriage board. If you remove the cartridges and power cycle it do you get the same symptoms? by Stephen on Oct 24, 2006 http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/36804 at 5:11am Add comment Please sign in to comment Stephen,Just wanted to say thank-you for helping me fix my HP PSC 1350v. I had a fatal error, read your forum and tried the power cycle with cartridges out trick. It worked! Glad you were out there. - Anonymous 0 Hi Stephen!Yeah, one of the first things I tried was without the carts. I was thinking printhead motor etc. You get no movement after the reset, apart from the scanner. I believe the initialisation (long word for this time in the eve!!!) goes scanner, feed motor, etc. I guess this is where the prob lies? Do you happen to know what "base" unit this model uses? I may have some spares lying about. Thanks for your response so far!Dazz UK by hpwizard on Oct 24, 2006 at 2:25pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Dazz,Sorry I missed your post in October 06.If I don't respond just send an email, sometimes I don't read the forums for a week or two.I don't know what engine the PSC 1650 is built on.Anything that uses #56 cartridges and has a hinged cartridge latch is likely built on a DeskJet 5550 engine. If the latches are one molded piece then it might be built on a 5650 engine.ST by Stephen on Apr 16, 2007 at 7:03pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Thanks for describing the solution to your problem. This happened a few weeks back..so i thought it was just my cartridges needing replacing...so i tried printing..and i had to cancel them all..so i cant remember if the E was on there when i turned hp psc it on..or it happened after i tried to print...which it didnt..but anyways i contacted hp online chat support..they told me lots to do..and maybe i didnt do a few things properly..but i think i did them exactly how your suppose to & nothing worked..they said the circuitry which is in the printer has been malfunctioned. I have no idea how this would happen..ive had it for 4 years and worked great!!..than 1 day i turn it on and hp psc 1350 this happens... maybe from trying to print & cancel the print jobs ..something happened to the printer...i dont know because i cant remember if the E was on there when i turned it on that day...and if it was..how can that happen..i just used the printer about 1 week earlier...and it worked. If anybody out there knows what caused this to happen or tell me how to fix it(if u can)..i would love to have your feedback here....thanxs!! The usual suspects are... 1 - The Cartridges 2 - The Scanner 3 - The Processor 4 - Paper Jam/Out of Paper First, I would check the cartridges. If you are using OEM carts, take them out and palm them - see if you can feel if they feel light and possibly out of ink (56, 57 and 58s are real easy to tell when they are out, because they are real heavy when they are full - these are HP's only full-load cartridges from that era). If they feel like they should have something in them, the we'll m
