Flexera 4340 Internal Build Error
Builder up vote 2 down vote favorite I am getting Internal build error in Flash Builder. When I go to the Problems Editor, it says that I can find more details in the error log. What does Adobe mean by referring me to the error log? Where I can find it? flex flash-builder share|improve this question edited Sep 26 '12 at 12:52 asked Sep 25 '12 at 18:39 Ivan Zamylin 1,28921332 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 4 down vote This error appears at me sometimes, I never found the real reason... Sometimes, if I save a file during the build process, something goes wrong and I get the error... go to Project -> Clean Project, and it should disappear.... share|improve this answer answered Sep 25 '12 at 18:42 Marcx 4,42033159 This is the correct answer for the "Internal Build Error" as well as when you suddenly get errors saying images are not embedding and when an error appears that includes a class name suffixed with "_HELPER". Clean Project should clear up all of those –Josh Janusch Sep 25 '12 at 20:43 2 There's an Error View (Window -> Show View -> General -> Error Log) that should contain some info. Another place is a log file located typically under your Flash Builder/Eclipse installation directory. It's a plain text file which includes a dump of java stack, which does not provide any help most of the times. What @Marcx told you works quite well. Sometimes you need to restart Flash Builder though. –L

This error was not occurring under Flex 3.I do not have an empty Case statement. If I remove a particular module from the Flex Modules list in the project propertues, the error does not occur, but of course no swf is generated so the module cannot be loaded at run time.I have gone through the module in question with a fine toothed comb but cannot find any syntax errorsAn internal build error has occurred. I'm not sure if this matters, but I'm using Environment path variables. I have been able to build this project successfully earlier on! Since then I have installed the InstallShield updates that are encouraged every now and then, and installed the stand-alone builder on my system. Please someone more expert in using IS than me, put in your 2 cents of wisdom and help me get out of misery. Thanks, Patrick P.S: I'm attaching the build log for your enjoyment, but to make it short, it ends exactly as pjowens' Attached Files 8-26-2005 04-39-15 PM.txt (3.3 KB, 652 views) Reply With Quote 08-29-2005,09:20 AM #4 pjowens View Profile View Forum Posts Power User (30+ Posts) Join Date Jan 2003 Posts 43 Evil Project Assistant Originally Posted by PBerny I'm not sure if this matters, but I'm using Environment path variables. In Danyul's post 68 I found the solution: when trying to combine Flex Builder for Linux 3 Alpha 5 with Eclipse 3.5 (which is officially not possible), the compiler will halt on all warnings! So cure the warnings in the project that throws the above error, and it will compile. The cleaner solution is, of course, a patch that sorts out the ProblemManager problem. Installing this is discussed in above-mentioned Danyul's post 68. There is even an unofficial port of Flash Builder 4 beta to Linux (referred to here and in various other blogs), but I could not get hold of the files.
