I've a popup window in which i need to enter values in somefields and click on submit button upon which the value is inserted in the main page. I'm able to insert the value into http://stackoverflow.com/questions/954171/timeout-while-internet-explorer-busy tht fields and click on the submit button but, after this the execution stops and i get the error "Timeout while Internet Explorer busy". so please help me to handle this. thankingyou watin share|improve this question asked Jun 5 '09 at 3:35 Vinay kumar add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote You might try using: button.ClickNoWait() rather than: button.Click() share|improve this answer answered Jun 5 '09 at 4:34 Corey Downie 2,95811625 add a comment| up vote 2 down vote This worked perfect for me: Disable Protected Mode (in the Internet Security Proprties, un-check the "Enable Protected Mode" checkbox right under the security level slider. I'm using IE7, and I reproduced the issue once I switched the Protected mode back on. share|improve this answer answered Jul 9 '09 at 21:11 WatiN user add a comment| up vote 1 down vote Have a read of this blogpost I wrote, http://www.teknologika.com/blog/modal-dialogs-and-dropdowns-in-watin/. 4 timeout while WATIN driving Enesys reports Hi Has anybody run WatiN automated unit testscripts successfully with Enesys reports? I have been able to write scripts to drive other areas of our SharePoint site. I can also successfully goto the document library that contains the report. But when I try to open the report (or supply the parameter), although the report successfully opens (and the text field is selected and highlighted), there is a timeout exception "Timeout while Internet Explorer busy." Any help greatly appreciated Thanks JQ 5/27/2009 10:25 AM Marien Monnier Joined: 4/15/2008 Posts: 64 Re: timeout while WATIN driving Enesys reports Hi John, We successfully run WatiN automated unit tests with Enesys reports in Standalone mode (we didn't test it in SharePoint Integrated mode yet). As the report is not run with the page, you can't use the Clickmethod (which opens a link and waits for the page to load) when you open a report. Instead, use the ClickNoWait method. You have to detect yourself when thereportis loaded. In Standalone mode, we looked at the "WaitInfoCell" table cell to see whether the report is loading. Don't hesitate if you need any more information. This text is located in a "span" element with the class "sqlrv-WaitText", there is also the spinner located in a "td" element with the class "sqlrv-WaitCell". You can use one of these elements to detect when the report is loaded. When the report is loaded, these two elements disappear. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need more information.
