The message 'Setup Error - Internet Explorer 5.0 or later required'. IE 11 is installed. I get the message whether I run the installation from a CD or from a downloaded driver. Is there a way to make the installation process point to google chrome? I have also tried setting google chrome as the default browser, but that does not seem to work in windows 10. Any help http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Setup-Error-Internet-Explorer-5-0-or-later-required-with-IE8/td-p/302661 is appreciated. Dell doesn't make or test drivers for Windows 10 for the 990. You need to roll back to a supported OS. I recommend Windows 7. I had the same https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1693289-setup-error-internet-explorer-5-0-or-later-required thing happen with my laptop. Wasn't tested for Windows 10 and had a wild amount of driver issues. Went back to Windows 7 until either drivers for Windows 10 come out or I get a new laptop for work. 2 Ghost Chili OP Helpful Post Ross42. Jun 30, 2016 at 6:14 UTC It doesn't recognize IE11 or Edge as being "IE" browsers anymore. As bigford said, you're pretty much hosed until HP or Microsoft come out with drivers. 1 Sonora OP rsmith10 Jun 30, 2016 at 6:27 UTC Thanks BBigford and Ross42. I appreciate the information. 0 Thai Pepper OP JoshuaRex Jun 30, 2016 at 7:16 UTC Have you tried compatibility mode in IE? 0 Serrano OP blckflcn23 Jun 30, 2016 at 8:03 UTC Have you considered perhaps loading linux onto this machine instead? 0 Sonora OP rsmith10 Jul 1, 2016 at 2:44 UTC I did try the compatibility mode in IE, did not make a difference. I would consider linux, but I'm not the end user. Thanks 0 Text Quote Post |Replace Attachment Add link Text to display: Where should this link go?
