The cause of this error can be any number of things, so you may have to try a few different methods before the problem is fixed. Try each one of the following steps and see if the problem goes away. Method 1 Open IE, go to Tools, Internet Options or click on the Settings gear icon at the top right and then clear out the temporary Internet files. Mike February 21, 2011 at 8:18 pm In general you should be able to remove it within the Add-Ons Manager: 1. right-click the Add-On or ActiveX Control you want to remove 2. select More information 3. there should be a Remove button at the very bottom If this button is grayed out you will have to look into Add or Remove Software: 1. click on Start Control Panel 2. go to the Programs section 3. click on Uninstall a program There you will have to locate the Software related to these Add-Ons.
