I have installed a Belkin Wifi adaptor to allow Windows Updates.... Problem 1: If I open Internet Explorer and click onthe tool bar, I get error messages saying "Internet Explorer encountered a validation error". The process is iexplorer.exe and it occurs on modules comctl.dll and mshtml.dll. Problem 2: (Which may be related to problem 1) ... if I goto Windows Update, the site immediately responds with a message saying Windows is upto date. However, the response is so quick, no scanning is liley to be taking place...and it is very unusual for a newly installed instance of windows not to need any updates. So I think Windows is not upto date at all. I have checked WiFi on Device Manager and the driver seems to be installed with no error messages or warnings.
