I keep getting: "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close error" The error message is: Internet Explore Error signature AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: urlmon.dll ModVer: 6.0.2900.2960 Offset: 00012f2e I read http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/internet-explorer-has-encountered-a-problem-urlmon-dll.2690828/ somewhere that by unchecking thrid party browsers ext. in the, Tools-Option-advance menu will stop IE6 from shuting down and it does, But I was hoping that I could find a fix for this. The only extensions I use is the goggle tool bar and msn. It has worked great for a year up until the second to last windows update about a month ago. Anuway is there a way to fix this?? I internet explorer got no help from Microsoft, instead they led me to Dell etc... Thanks for any help info Ron Guest, Oct 1, 2006 #1 Advertisements Rob ^_^ Guest Hi Ron, Check for Updates for your Add-In toolbars from MSN and Google. If you are using the MSN search toolbar with tabbed browsing it has been re-branded to the Live toolbar available from http://toolbar.live.com so you may want to un-install the msn toolbar and internet explorer encountered install the live version which has better tab control than the earlier msn versions.
