I get Error Code 12007 The PC uses a Pentium 4 3 GHz processor running Windows XP Professional. I have verified that the Local Area Connection is working properly from the PC to the modem. I have also used my laptop to connect (using the ethernet cable NOT wireless) to the Internet using the same DSL modem/router (Netgear DG834G v4). The laptop works without any problems. Any suggestions? I have a Dell Dimension desk top using Windows XP . i have a Sky router which is hard wired to the desk top and connects by http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/259647/error-code-12007/ WiFi to my iPad. All was well until about 10days ago the Internet connection to the desk top stopped working properly. The reason was error 12007 . Since that time I have spent many many hours trying to solve the problem. By using the iPad I have been able get a huge amount of info from the net regarding this problem but to no effect. I https://forums.techguy.org/threads/how-to-fix-error-12007.1112112/ then resorted to taking the computer to my local computer shop to get it repaired. This was duly done ,the guy said that he had cleared out some court registries ad lo and behold he showed me it working ,full access to my browser (Firefox) and all looked well. I then took it home fired it up and lo and behold error 12007 came up again. After several trips back and fore to the shop the problem is still there. It is a strange situation. I can open Firefox and get the front page (Google) and I can search and get hits for whatever I'm looking for BUT if I then try to open up the hits very often error 12007 emerges but sometimes I can one up the hit, For instance I can search for Hotmail, get hits but if I try to open up any of these hits i get error 12007. If I search for the AA route planner I can open up all the hits and use the planner. There seems no sense to it all. The worst feature is that I cannot access my mails. I thought it might be the
