instance today with Windows 7 64 Bit and IE9. When opening IE9 on a fresh image - it would immediately crash and try to restart. It would loop a few times and eventually just display a blank IE screen. The event log shows this http://www.labareweb.com/ie-crashing-with-error-faulting-module-path-cwindowssyswow64msvcrt-dll/ error: Faulting module path: C:\windows\syswow64\msvcrt.dll Here's the quick fix. After IE bombs a few https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1389091-internet-explorer-11-crashing times and sits broken, go to Tools - Internet Options - Advanced Tab - Check the following option on top "Use software rendering instead of GPU redering" Restart IE9 and that should fix it. If not, you most likely have larger issues in your image. This entry was posted in Windows OS. Bookmark the permalink. Follow any comments internet explorer here with the RSS feed for this post. TECHNOLOGY IN THIS DISCUSSION Microsoft Wind...aller Clean Up Join the Community! Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now I have a Windows 10 PC that internet Explorer crashes every time I try to open it. It won't even go to a web page. I have checked there were no addons running, reset internet explorer settings, uninstalled, and reinstalled it, ran sfc /scannow, ran dskchk /r, and tried a clean boot, all with no success. If I open IE I get this error... I know... "Beer Good, Internet Explorer Bad", but we have a client that has not upgraded their system yet and the only connection to them is through IExplorer. I'm also trying to avoid resetting the PC due to the number of programs installed and files that would have to be transferred. Everything I've found online directs me to do everything I've already tried. Below is the information from Event Viewer. Anyone have any suggestions?
