Join Now Hey everybody, I have a workstation that cannot print from within Internet Explorer's PDF viewer https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/343543-can-t-print-from-internet-explorer-s-pdf-viewer addon. The fields within IE's print menu are all blank when you try to https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1338986 print from a PDF viewed within IE. The print menu is normal when viewed otherwise. If I click "Advanced", the print menu closes but the process persists. If I try to close IE, IE crashes. This behavior occurs whether I try to print to a local printer, a network printer, or if I try to print to the Microsoft internet explorer XPS document writer. Again, this only happens within the PDF addon within IE. When I try to print from Word, Adobe Acrobat, or within IE outside of a PDF viewer, it works just . IE is up to date. Adobe acrobat is up to ate. Windows is up to date. Not sure where to go from here. They're buggy and problematic, plus they're one of the top vectors for malware nowadays. 3 Datil OP Bill2718 Jun 3, 2013 at 9:46 UTC Assuming you want to keep doing things this way, I suggest you completely uninstall Acrobat, clear your browser history, reboot, then then reinstall Acrobat. 0 Habanero OP Matt_P Jun 3, 2013 at 10:18 UTC If you hover your mouse near the bottom of the page, a gray menu should fade in with a Print button. You could also try the Ctrl+P shortcut. I would suggest opening PDF's in the full Adobe Reader as Bill suggested. We have all sorts of issues with the PDF viewer in FireFox here. 1 Jalapeno OP the_joey_o Jun 12, 2013 at 4:25 UTC Rommy IT is an IT service provider. The problem has been resolved. It started when the user upgraded to IE 10. He is still using Adobe Acrobat 9, and it was the default program rendering PDFs in the browser. I downloaded Adobe Reader XI and made it the default program for rendering PDFs in the browser
