The KB2522422 hotfix, which is available directly from Microsoft's website, installs components to improve compatibility between Internet Explorer 9 and printers. After you download and apply the update, you must restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Once it is installed, you don't have to modify the registry because the update installs components automatically.SettingsIf you're using a printer other than Canon and experiencing the same error, clear the Encapsulated PostScript output in the printer name properties dialog box. In addition, open the printer's tool in the Control Panel and disable automatic headers and footers.TipsUpdating your Canon printer drivers to the latest versions decreases the chances of additional communication and printing problems. Microsoft says the problem also occurs when the printer is configured to print multiple pages on one sheet of paper. Getting same results? 0 Message Author Comment by:jsgould2015-05-29 Chrome works fine. Issue seems to be isolated to printing from the IE 11 browser on this one system 0 LVL 9 Overall: Level 9 Web Browsers 1 Message Expert Comment by:discgman2015-05-29 My next check would be plugins and settings for IE since each browser is different. From java to flash and shock wave plugins. Check to see if that particular website needs specific plugins to print from IE. 0 Message Author Comment by:jsgould2015-05-29 oops... I forgot to mention that there is a shock wave plugin which I disabled. Had no affect. all other plugins were disabled. 0 LVL 9 Overall:

No errors or problems on the computer itself. So, back to the printer; Dell knowledge base section suggested checking 'support.microsoft.com' Ended up at https://partner.support.services.microsoft.com/en-us/contact/menu/software/windows/ts/? Clicked on 'Chat online with a Microsoft Answer Tech'. Gave tech person the same info as above. He suggested that print driver was old or corrupt. Went to Dell site and downloaded A00 version (released 06 Aug 2012) of same driver, (instead of A02 version, released 2013) Everything prints! 0 Pure Capsaicin OP Rod-IT Jan 20, 2016 at 8:19 UTC Glad it's sorted 0 Text Quote Post |Replace Attachment Add link Text to display: Where should this link go?
