They're buggy and problematic, plus they're one of the top vectors for malware nowadays. 3 Datil OP Bill2718 Jun 3, 2013 at 9:46 UTC Assuming you want to keep doing things this way, I suggest you completely uninstall Acrobat, clear your browser history, reboot, then then reinstall Acrobat. 0 Habanero OP Matt_P Jun 3, 2013 at 10:18 UTC If you hover your mouse near the bottom of the page, a gray menu should fade in with a Print button. You could also try the Ctrl+P shortcut. I would suggest opening PDF's in the full Adobe Reader as Bill suggested. We have all sorts of issues with the PDF viewer in FireFox here. 1 Jalapeno OP the_joey_o Jun 12, 2013 at 4:25 UTC Rommy IT is an IT service provider. The problem has been resolved. It started when the user upgraded to IE 10. He is still using A
problem. Cause New versions of Internet Explorer http://shopping.na2.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.630663/ctype.KB/it.I/id.111/KB.307863/.f have a new feature called "Protected Mode" which prevents any untrusted website from saving any files to disk. This includes saving the site to disk http://khkonsulting.com/2014/10/pages-selected-print-error/ as a PDF file. Solution #1: Use a Different Browser The easiest solution is to use a different web browser. This issue does not affect internet explorer other major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. This is the safest and easiest solution. This is a good solution all around, as these browsers are fast, secure, and very well supported. Solution #2: Designate the Web Site as "Trusted" Second, you can add the web site to your internet explorer 11 list of trusted websites: In Internet Explorer, go to the "Tools" menu > "Internet Options Select the "Security" tab Select the "Trusted Sites" zone Click the "Sites" button to add a site to the zone Solution #3: Disable Protected Mode Third, you can disable "Protected Mode": In Internet Explorer, go to the "Tools" menu > "Internet Options Select the "Security" tab Select the "Internet" zone (if it isn't selected already) Deselect the option called "Enable Protected Mode" WARNING: Disabling this mode makes it possible for malicious sites to potentially write files to your computer.

Adobe is looking for help in debugging this problem. If you are running into this problem and want me to share your email address with Adobe, please get in touch with me via email. My email address is on the "About" page. For a while now, Adobe Acrobat or the free Adobe Reader will in some instances display an error message that suggests that there were no pages selected to print when the user tries to print any PDF document. This error message is obviously wrong and misleading. From outside Adobe, it's impossible to say what exactly triggers this error message, and how the original problem can be fixed. Most people will never see this error, but for some users, it will show up every time they try to print. If you are dealing with this error message, and you are using Acrobat or Reader on Windows, there is a simple workaround. This is not a fix, and does come at a price, but at least it will allow you to print: Open up Acrobat's (or Reader's) preferences (Edit>Preferences or Edit>Preferences>General), then select the "Security (Enhanced)" category. Now deselect the setting "Enable Protected Mode at Startup" and restart the application. If this does not work, try to set "Protected View" to "Off". This will work in most instances, but because we don't know what the exact condition is that causes this problem, your print operation may still fail. In that case, your only option is to get in touch with Adobe's support. Keep in mind that disabling Protected Mode/View has security implications. You can find out more about what Protected Mode/View does in Adobe's Acrobat documentation. If you are using Acrobat or Reader on a Mac (or if the previous change did not fix your problem on a Windows system), your only option is to "Print as Image". You can find this option after clicking on the "Advanced" button on Acrobat/Reader's print dialog. Again, this should help, but there may be instances where this still does not allow you to print, and your only option is to get in touch with Adobe's support.
