You can try to disable the Script Debugging in Internet options->Advanced->Select the Disable script debugging also clear the Display a notification about every script error. This can also happen if Active Scripting, ActiveX, and Java were blocked by IE. Goto internet options->security->check the level it should be in default.Because ActiveX controls and Java programs are turned off at the High security level in Internet Explorer. Let us know about the outcome. agh55 Contributor4 Reg: 11-Dec-2011 Posts: 14 Solutions: 2 Kudos: 0 Kudos0 Re: Script errors Posted: 12-Dec-2011 | 1:16PM • Permalink Apologies for the delay in responding, I have tried what you have suggested and it is still happening. In the interim I changed back to IE8, but he problem still exists. Researching on the web there is reference to an issue if Norton Anti-Virus scan temp. Internet files. Can you confirm on Internet Security 2012 there is an option to switch this off. Advertisement Hate Computers Thread Starter Joined: Jan 4, 2007 Messages: 91 Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what is wrong with my Norton Internet Security and/or Internet Explorer.... Both have been working fine up to now, but now all internet explorer of a sudden, when I open Norton and try to select Norton Anti-Spam from the menu, I get the following Internet Explorer Script Error:- Line: 15 Char: 1 Error: Object expected Code: 0 Url: res://C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\AntiSpam\asRes.LOC/nasstatus.htm Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Whether I click yes or no, it returns to the Anti-Spam page and says "Refreshing" next to internet explorer script each Anti-Spam feature. When I try to click on any of the features, I get another script error. The reason I need to access the Anti-Spam section is because for some reason, ads are appearing on sites even though I have the Norton Ad Blocker on. I need to get into the Anti-Spam to check the status of the ad blocker, but it won't let me get any further than the daft script error! Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys! Update: Sorted it. After installing some Norton and IE updates it seems to be okay now....sorry for starting such a pointless thread!
