Close Internet Explorer and restart it. Suggestion 2: Run IE without Add-ons ============================= 1. Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). 2. IE says the tab has been recovered. I see this a lot at work and the solution for http://techynotes.net/problem-internet-explorer-says-the-tab-has-been-recovered/ me (every time so far) is to disable an option in IE called "Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks". Now, this option may help to prevent "online attacks" https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/10479/ie-tab-recovered-error but it sure causes way too many crashes to be worth having it enabled. Here's how to disable it. Open Internet Explorer. Click Tools. Click Internet Options. Click internet explorer the Advanced Tab. Scroll almost to the bottom (it's under security). Find the option "Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks" and uncheck it. Click Apply and then Click OK. Restart IE and then load the site that was crashing the tab in IE. I get errors if one of the tabs is logged in to a "secure" account, like a bank. This error mostly happens when I open Gmail, open a second tab and use Password1 to log in. Any suggestions? thanks dave Comments khad Social Choreographer AgileBits Team Member June 2012 edited June 2012 Hey Dave, "Tab Recovered" is an IE error, not a 1Password error. Try updating Internet Explorer to the current version (9) and 1Password to its current version (1.0.9.294) and let me know if that helps. DaveRo ✭ June 2012 Thanks. On my work computer, I'm limited to IE8. I am running 1Password 1.0.9.295. this happens wheneve I access a link from Gmail, then use 1Passwod to login. I'll try upgrading to IE9 on my home computer...we'll see what happens. khad Social Choreographer AgileBits Team Member June 2012 1Password 1.0.9.295 has not been released yet. Can you confirm for me what version of 1Password you are actually using? You mentioned two different ones so far including one that does not yet exist. Please do let me know how it goes after upgrading Internet Explorer. DaveRo ✭ June 2012 ooops... it was a typo... should be 1P version 1.0.9.294 I upgraded IE to IE9... I'm not getting the "tab recovered error" any longer. I still run into issues when I open a link, log in using 1P, if there are pull downs in the new window, they don't work. I don't know if there's an ie setting that's causing this. I downloaded chrome and things work much better. I haven't run into any issues using Chrome. khad Social Choreographer AgileBits Team Member June 2012 And of course — wouldn't you know it? — now we just released 1.0.9.295, so you can actually update and use that version now. I'm not getting the "tab recovered error" any longer. Great. Glad to hear it! I still run into issues when I open a link, log in using 1P, if there are pull downs in the new window, they don't work. I don't know if there's an ie setting that's causing this. I'm not sure what you mean by this. What are the steps to reproduce this? A specific URL could really be helpful. I downloaded chrome and things work much better. I haven't run into any issues using Chrome. Or you could just keep using Chrome. Let me know. Cheers! DaveRo ✭ June 2012 I decided to use Chrome! We'll leave IE on the sidelines. thanks for your help. khad Social Choreographer AgileBits Team Member June 2012 Let me know if there is anything else I can help with — IE or Chrome.
