An IT policy on the BlackBerry smartphone has the following rule enabled: External File System Encryption Level under Security policy group. 2. The external microSD memory card is encrypted with another BlackBerry smartphone. Back to top ↑ Resolution 1. Disable the External File System Encryption Level IT policy.2. Backup the external memory card and format it using a BlackBerry smartphone. Re-encrypt it with the new BlackBerry smartphone. Warning: The following procedures delete either all data, or all data and applications on the media card. Back up the data prior to performing the procedure. For instructions, see your product documentation. Disable media card encryption on the BlackBerry smartphone. On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Security Options > Encryption.Under Media Card, change the setting from Enabled to Disabled.Format the media card go to Options > Memory from the Home screen. Press the Menu key and select Format. Choose Yes when asked to continue.To re-enable media card encryption (if encryption is desired), go to Options > Security Options > Encryption and under Media Card, change the setting from Disabled to Enabled.
