2012 8:17 PM in response to Elizabeth_Rosenfeld Here are Apple Steps for you to follow: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error28iTunes Error Codes are never specific, but Error 28 is hardware error. It seems to often have a problem in the charging hardware of the iPhone. So my first trouble shooting steps would be to carefully clean the iPhone Charging Port. See if fixed. Next step iphone 3gs error 29 would be to try a different USB cable. Next step would be to try a different USB port on the back of computer, or different computer. Next step would be to try a new battery. Next step would be replacing charging port assembly.
