2005 - 07:59 GMTMy ipod has got stuck in ipod diagnostics and I have no idea how to get it out...this is really please plug fw mean annopying...i've tried connceting it to my computer but itunes isnt even aware fw detect ipod classic diagnostic mode the ipod is there while it is diagnostics mode... When I turned it on the 'Accessorize diagnostics' (what language is it speaking?? - Accessorize???) came up and no matter what I tried I couldn't get out of this screen. My solution was to leave it turned on until the battery went flat and it seemed to turn itself off. I have now returned home and plugged it into my iMac G5 (10 minutes ago) - the colour screen with 'Do n

It appears on iTunes after a long wait, but won't sync and I get an error message 'iPod could not be read from or read to' (or thereabouts). Tried disk utility 'Disc cannot be unmounted' Tried diagnostic on the iPod (holding down centre and left when the apple appears). Running through each of the tests goes fine until the test for FireWire and USB. The test asks for USB and FW insertion, but this iPod is a USB model. It doesn't run FireWire, does it? Am I going mental? Consequently, I can't complete the diagnostic tests as I can't skip
