Solved Gettin 'Error in loading DLL' eror message when running Access VBA code Posted on 2005-12-08 MS Access 1 Verified Solution 3 Comments 622 Views Last Modified: loading dll 2008-12-18 I have a couple of Access databases that are written in Access 2000 and have been working fine. Recently, I removed a number of "unneeded" programs from my PC and t have been getting the "error in loading DLL" message when I run some code. The debugger stops on the last line of this code: Private Sub UpdateDates_Click() Dim dbs As Database, rst As Recordset, intI As Integer error in loading Dim strNumber As String, strBookmark As String Dim rstSpeakers As Recordset, dbsSpeakers As Database 'Open Speakers Database Set dbsSpeakers = DBEngine.Workspaces(0).OpenDatabase("c:\My Documents\TMS2000 data.mdb") and it highlights the word DBEngine. I stop the code from running, click on Tools, and references, and is was saying that Microsoft DAO3.50 was missing, so I pointed it to DAO 3.51 that I found on my computer. Sadly I got a little click happy and have messed up my DAO. Any suggestions? I have reinstalled my Access 2002 and my Access 2000 ADT (which I believe was one of teh "unneeded" programs/ 0 Question by:btmtech Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 44 Best Solution byLPurvis Have you tried re-registering the DAO dll again? I don't either know if that's an issue either. So I thought I'd start with registering and see what happens then. Tony, Registering DAO was a suggested action I found (and followed) before I tried this forum. I just checked my registry and DAO appears in three blocks of 9 keys each, and one other separate key. I have no idea it the registration is correct. I am copying the detail for the first block, the other two have exactly the same values as the first, so I just copy here the name of the keys. The separate key appears between the second and the third blocks.
