Fenwick Member Joined: Jun 4, 2007 Messages: 6 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 1 Location: Portland, OR I recently had some issues with awstats error messages our blog. I had the person who originally developed it check into it. He found issues relating to the .htaccess file. He was able to get the blog up and running again. To prevent future issues since our website and blog were in the same directory he moved the blog to a new directory, copied the database over and created a new cPanel account. I am receiving this error when I attempt to update statistics in AWStats: "Error: Couldn't open server log file "/usr/local/apache/domlogs/blog.yourdomain.com" : Permission denied Setup ('/home/bhfblog/tmp/awstats/awstats.blog.yourdomain.com.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong. Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory)." I might add that stats were showing for the day this operation occurred but no stats have shown since. What "config" file is this referring to? The only file I find that might be related is /public_html/wp-config.php. Which does not seem likely. Thoughts? Thank you for your time. #1 Fenwick, Feb 13, 2014 cPanelMichael Forums Analyst Staff Member Joined: Apr 11, 2011 Messages: 29,194 Likes Received: 525 Trophy Points: 113 cPanel

I am using IIS6.0 and i installed activestate 5.8.8 on the server. Set the web extensions and configured the application settings of my web site. After that I also updated awstats which created the data. But when i try to view with this url: http://www.mydomain.com/awstats/cgi-bin/awstats.pl?config=mydomain It fails with that message in 2 different frames with the same message. Does anyone have similar experience with IIS and awstats? I've spent 2 days to set it up, now I can't view them Your help will be very much appreciated.. cenkbut, Nov 23, 2006 IP cenkbut Peon Messages: 218 Likes Received: 5 Best Answers: 0 Trophy Points: 0 #2 Reboot solved the problem, now I can see my stats cenkbut, Nov 23, 2006 IP (You must log in or sign up to reply here.)
