You need to DIM strgrade you need to DIM strlettergrade before you use it Fix the typo of Lettergade(strgrade) <%@ Language=VBScript %> <% Option Explicit %> <% Response.Buffer = True %> <% Dim strlettergrade Dim strgrade %> <% Function Lettergrade(lg) if lg > 50 then Lettergrade ="P" else Lettergrade ="F" End Function %> <% strgrade = 75 strlettergrade=Lettergrade(strgrade) ... other code goes here %> share|improve this answer answered Apr 18 '12 at 19:28 Michael Riley - AKA Gunny 3,01322452 add a comment| up vote 2 down vote Try getting rid of the Set inside the function call and just assign Lettergrade = lgs. share|improve this answer edited Apr 19 '12 at 9:06 Guido Gautier 1,129612 answered Apr 18 '12 at 17:34 mord'Sith 67559 I tried it and again I get the error.. –Elmer Tillett Apr 18 '12 at 17:47 add a comm
