I am by no means a pro when it comes to debugging classic asp errors. However, I know enough to figure out what is going on, but not completely sure on how to deal/eradicate with this issue: Issue: sql query could return nothing which would result in my array being empty, which is giving me the error specified in the title. Code: 233 while not rs.eof 234 varCampArray = split(trim(rs("Notes")) & "", ";") 235 If ubound(varCampArray) > 0 Then 236 varCampArray2 = split(varCampArray(0) & "", "=") 237 End If 238 if ubound(varCampArray2) > 0 then 254 wend lines 239-253 are irrelevant(just calculations based off the array and another query) and just wanted to add the 'wend' statement so noone thinks its not properly coded. Extra Info: This is for our custom vb application, and for this particular asp file, the user goes to Report>Daily>Summary, and from there the user selects a certain day to get financial summary for that day. If I run the report for today, it runs and I get figures, if I run it for the 26th of this month, it runs and executes with no errors. If I run it for yesterday(4/27/2016) I get this in the reportViewer in our vb app: (Microsoft VBScript
The runtime error 800A000D is straightforward to solve. The secret is to read the Windows Script Error message carefully, then locate the line number with the Type Mismatch. Introduction To Error Code 800A000D This runtime error, 800A000D occurs when you execute a VBScript. My suggestion is that there is a VBScript statement that does not understand a keyword you are using in your script. Alternatively, you may not be running the script as an ordinary user and not as an Administrator. The Symptoms You Get 800A000D The script does not execute as you hoped, instead you get a Microsoft VBScript runtime error. One possibility is that you http://stackoverflow.com/questions/36920391/type-mismatch-error-ubound are using a WSH object or method that has been misspelt.Chuck kindly wrote in saying that another cause maybe that you are logged on as ordinary user, and not an Administrator. The Cause of Code 800A000D Your VBScript contains an illegal method, probably due to a typing mistake, an extra letter. Look for a clue opposite the phrase Error: Type mismatch.... In particular, double check the spelling of your objects.Note 1: Source: http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/Logon/code/code_800A000D.htm Microsoft VBScript runtime error. This is not a syntax error in the sense of a missing bracket, more a typo in the keyword mentioned in the Error: line of your WSH Message.Note 2: Error: Type mismatch: 'Join'. Chuck says this could mean that you are logged on as an ordinary user and not an administrator. Note 3: What I have found, is that there need not be any errors per se in the script in order to receive the type mismatch join error. But what the cause has been for two of my recent experiences, is that the user in question, is only a part of a single group that isn't 1. A domain built-in group. 2. Query based distribution groups. The join statement fails in this case because the CurrentUser.MemberOf only contains a single value so when it tries to append the next value, there is no array for it to search through. One fix would be to add error handling around this statement, so that if it fails, it runs the same line except without the join statement. The other option is of course to ensure your users are a part of more than one security or static distribution group. I haven't experimented with whether local domain, global or universal have an

I have the ability to read code and figure things out. One problem that I have not found a solution for is Mismatch type. Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d' Type mismatch: 'UBound' I take the client information and I store it into an array and store the client array in a session variable. When I transfer between pages, I take the client array from the session variable and store it in a varable on the current page and work with this copy of the client array. It is this copy of the array that is causing the mismatch type error. I know that the problem could be caused by not having cookies enable because the session variable is referenced by a cookie on the client machine. If the cookies were not enable, I would have a problem on a previous page. One thing that makes it even hard to figure out is the problem only happens to a few people, 20 or so, and 7000 apps were successful yesterday. I am using W2K to server the web application. I am running IIS 5.0. I have the session timeout at 30 minutes. The global.asa is not empty. I really need some help to find an answer to this solution. The thing that is really weird, the people who have this problem are using an array of web browsers. IE 5.5, 6.0, AOL, Juno, Etc. I do not have something incommon other than the sessio
