It's created at the same time as its source .cpp file gets complied. If VS cannot find an .sbr file, it means that the source .cpp was not compiled properly. Try to "rebuild" the project (rather than just "build" it), it may fix the error. share|improve this answer answered Sep 20 '08 at 21:43 Andrei Belogortseff 1,30821526 1 Clean + Rebuild :) –Yochai Timmer Jan 27 '11 at 12:02 add a comment| up vote 4 down vote Check (manually) your .vcproj file for a

I do not know how to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/109281/bscmake-error-bk1506-cannot-open-file-stdafx-sbr-no-such-file-or-directory do these things I linked to.I right clicked the project and said rebuild, but the error was still there.I closed the home page in visual studio and tried to rebuild and the error was still there.I don't know what to do next?To begin the src dll project, I open the src package and use visual studio to open a dsw file that makes https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/858a1f8d-2c6b-4e8b-8c4b-81dfebe8d58b/bscmake-error-bk1506?forum=vcgeneral the files ready and I just have to press either debug or build. If reason says Permission denied, the browser may be using the file. Close the Browse window and retry the build. A full disk. A hardware error. The specified output file has the same name as an existing subdirectory.«_Superman_» Wednesday, March 04, 2009 8:31 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote «_Superman_» said: The following is from MSDN To fix by checking the following possible causes File locked by another process. / 5 BSCMAKE: error BK1506 : cannot open file '.\Debug\StdAfx.sbr': No such file or directory Hi, Does any one have any idea on how to solve the following: BSCMAKE: error BK1506 : cannot open file '.\Debug\StdAfx.sbr': http://computer-programming-forum.com/82-mfc/3ead1c5d715a745f.htm No such file or directory Error executing bscmake.exe. I seam to remember that in the past I may have deleted some BSC files but that was a long time ago and would not be stdafx.bsc Today https://www.garagegames.com/community/forums/viewthread/84825 I decided to recreate a class which I have changed many times from CView, CWnd and maybe even CStatic and ended up with bunch of functions inappropriate for whatever class ( now aiming for CStatic again no such ). I renamed the files, before I started VC then deleted them from the file lists in VC but when it came time to create them again it told me the class is in use. I restarted and recreated ( with a typo ), when I realized it I deleted the new files from the lists and then found the class IDs ( because it was created with automation ) and cut no such file out all relating to PartPreview and PartPreviw in the .odl file. When I tried to rebuild I got the error. The only BSC files (2 BSC and 2 with another extension) in my debug directory were for the 2 {*filter*} classes which are now history as well. Any ideas on how to bring my project from the dead? Thanks Sam. Usually, a "Rebuild All" will solve it. Or, try deleting the entire "Debug" subdirectory and then building. Visual C++ Express Windows Vista Ultimate 64 (directX 10) I only have 1 fatal error which I discovered is connected to a couple other errors. I will simply hunt them all down and paste them here in order. The LAST error is the one not letting me build, but it is giving errors due to dependancies having errors. Just by looking at the names of the files, it would seem to be an issue with DirectX 9 and me having DirectX 10...
