The installation went perfectly. I also have System Commander Version 8.20 on my PC. After the installation, the new OS was available on the System Commander menu. When I selected CENT-OS, it simply rebooted the PC rather than booting the OS. I installed on the third disk drive hd2 and also placed the boot program at the beginning of that disk drive. My GRUB.CONF file is as follows:default=0timeout=5spashimage=(hd2,0)/boot/grub/spash.xpm.gzhiddenmenutitle CentOS-4 i386 (2.6.9-34.ELsmp) root (hd2,0) kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.9-34.ELsmp initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.9-34.ELsmp.imgtitle CentOS-4 i386 (2.6.9-34.EL) root (hd2,0) kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.9-34.EL initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.9-34.EL.imgI was able to issue all of the root, kernel, and initrd commands sucessfully. I also confirmed that all of the files were there. This is far better that the 4.2 installation which simply hanged on GRUB.Any advice?
