Solved Nagios - SNMP Problems Posted on 2010-12-16 Linux Network Management Network Operations 2 Verified Solutions 11 Comments no such 2,707 Views Last Modified: 2012-05-10 All, I am having trouble with implementing Nagios3 on a Ubuntu Server 10.10 OS. The 'apt-get install nagios3' seemed to go well and I have been able to add numerous devices to get the Ping host-alive monitoring up and running. The problem I am having is getting snmp and check_snmp configured to monitor uptime and other error in packet parameters of the switches and routers. I have installed snmpd and am able to use snmpwalk to list the OIDs of network hosts but check_snmp just errors out. Any ideas? 0 Question by:amickfarms Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 18 Active today Best Solution bySanga Collins Are you able to run ./check_snmp -H
