So, let's say I am in E:\code and have a file called one.c. Running: gcc one.c -o one.exe will give me this error: gcc: CreateProcess: No such file or avr-gcc createprocess no such file or directory directory The only workaround is to navigate to its installation directory, run gcc from there, and specify all the other paths. My environmental variable "Path" contains E:\MinGW\bin. Any suggestions to fixing this problem? If you did, and you're trying to run gcc in the same command shell you were using originally, it isn't going to work. That shell has its own copy of PATH that didn't get changed when you used the GUI. You can see this by typing echo %PATH% in your command shell. The fastest way to fix it would be to log out and log back in. –George Oct 3 '10 at 4:01 Ah, I figured that just spawning a new instance of CMD.exe would be enough for it to use the new "PATH" variable. However, it works fine now t

view ♦ ♦ | Report Content as Inappropriate ♦ ♦ [MinGW-users] "gcc: CreateProcess: No such file or directory" Hi, I am new to MinGW. I am attempting to teach myself Objective-C programming by working through "Programming in Objective-C" by Kochan. I installed MinGW using the automated installer (http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/files/) - 4.5.0. I installed the Objective C compiler. The files are in C:\MinGW. I added C:\MinGW\bin to my PATH. I have completely shutdown and restarted the computer after this. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 (32-bit). When I start MS-DOS and switch the directories to the folder that contain "main.m," I enter the following command: C:\mysrc> gcc main.m -o prog1 -l objc gcc: CreateProcess: No such file or directory I continually get that error message, and I am unsure of how to fix this. I have scoured the internet, and could not find a solution that would work for me. There may be a simple fix or patch, but I am very new at this and have been unable to find one.
