The two 48 port switches are cisco 2950 there is no such variable name in this mib zabbix switches and the 24 port is a 3560. The two 48 port switches return everything fine

with port status and bandwidth usage. the 24 port switch reports back bandwidth properly but not for the port status. It gives the error: "External snmpset reason nosuchname there is no such variable name in this mib command error: Error in packet" The thing that bothers me about this is that port 1 comes back with "SNMP OK - 1" but all of the others give that error. I checked my configurations and unless the command should

It seems to be this one and the two 2960 gig switches. 1 Jalapeno OP Helpful Post Keith Heimbuch Nov 26, 2010 at 2:18 UTC I figured out the problem on the 3560 24 port switch. Instead of using: ifOperStatus.1 .2 .3... .10 .11 etc... I found this which works: ifOperstatus.10001 .10002 .10003... .10010 .10011 etc... This does not work with the gig switches though. Still working on that, I will update once I figure it out. 3 Jalapeno OP Helpful Post Keith Heimbuch Nov 26, 2010 at 3:23 UTC I seem to be on a r

Solved Nagios - SNMP Problems Posted on 2010-12-16 Linux Network Management Network Operations 2 Verified Solutions 11 Comments 2,712 Views Last Modified: 2012-05-10 All, I am having trouble with implementing Nagios3 on a Ubuntu Server 10.10 OS. The 'apt-get install nagios3' seemed to no such go well and I have been able to add numerous devices to get the Ping host-alive monitoring up and running. The problem I am having is getting snmp and check_snmp configured to monitor uptime and other parameters of the switches and routers. I have installed snmpd and am able to use snmpwalk to list the OIDs of network hosts but check_snmp just errors out. Any ideas? 0 Question by:amickfarms Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL error in packet 18 Active 2 days ago Best Solution bySanga Collins Are you able to run ./check_snmp -H
