Linux No Such File Or Directory But Directory Exists
message /usr/bin/env: python : No such file or directory. When I try and run from terminal, I get: : No such file or directory. I try a similar python script, in the same directory, with the same python shebang, the same permissions and using the same user pi, and it works. I navigate to this folder with: cd ~ /generallstuff when i try to run the script with: chmod 755 abc.sh i get the error "no such file or directory" But the script is in this place, why is this. When does the error happen? A couple of things to check: (1) The chmod command makes the script only executable, it does not run it. chmod +x abc.sh

But i have that corresponding file in the corresponding path. It also have executable rights. " Answer : "Have you start your script with /directory/scriptname or ./scriptname?" This worked for, once I started the script using "./scriptname". I started this script on multiple servers and on some machines I could just use "scriptname" and on others I needed to use "./scriptname" Why is "./" required on some machines but not on others?
