An error can also occur if the file's PostScript code exceeds one or more of the limits offending command nostringval in the PostScript page description language. If your PostScript interpreter appears to process data but then stops, a PostScript error could have occurred.A PostScript error message includes a PostScript error type, which http://forum.support.xerox.com/t5/Printing/ERROR-limitcheck-OFFENDING-COMMAND/td-p/7530 defines the type of error it is. It also includes an offending command, which usually indicates the specific part of the PostScript code that the interpreter couldn't read. The offending command usually indicates the command that caused the problem. Some PostScript errors point you right to the cause of the problem, and some get you looking in the right direction.Example of a PostScript error:%%[Error: ; https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-postscript-errors.html OffendingCommand: ]%%For example, the PostScript error %%[Error: dictfull; OffendingCommand: def ]%% contains the PostScript error type "dictfull" and the offending command "def." The preprinted forms have the logos and the boundaries printed. The preprinted forms are to be replaced with blank sheets. I received the postscript code of two logos in .eps format(Bigger logo, Smaller logo which i scaled down) and .pub error limitcheck offending format of a third logo. The logos were uploaded to a mainframe file and text also added as these have details related to vehicle which change on a daily basis. I was able to position the logos on the ledger paper(Thanks to ps2pdf site!) I was able to print a single label at the Canon IR8070 printer. Now when i am printing 10 pages of the file, i am getting an error on the third page always. When i printed the third page all alone, its getting printed!I could see that Limitcheck is out of memory error or image corruption from some of the sites. But the RAM at printer has 512 MB. I am not sure of the Image corruption as this prints in a single document.Attached above is the error message throwup by the printer on the third page. The code has CIEBASEDABC dict for two logos. If anyone requires a part of the code, please let me know! Can anyone help me as what is the solution? Thanks,Shajeeth I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 2958Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. this post in threaded view ♦ ♦ | Report Content as Inappropriate ♦ ♦ ERROR: limitcheck OFFENDING COMMAND: gsave Hello, I saw there was a similar discussion, but the way of sending info to iText was different (we use PdfContentByte.createGraphics(...)). Anyway, the PDF is created but it gives an error when it is printed: ERROR: limitcheck OFFENDING COMMAND: gsave STACK: /RelativeColorimetric These pdf's are generated by iText 2.0.2 (Iowagie.com). The problem seems not to exist when using an older version of iText to create them (PDFs generated by itext-paulo - build 130). The code is something like this: (...) writer = PdfWriter.getInstance(document, os); document.open(); cb = writer.getDirectContent(); for (int i = 0; i < numPages; i++) { (...) cb.saveState(); Graphics2D g2d = cb.createGraphics(...); printable.print(g2d, pf, i); g2d.dispose(); cb.restoreState(); document.newPage(); } Why does this happen? Can I change something in the way iText graphics is used in order to dodge this error? I am not sure if I can control how the PDF is constructed when using the graphics to paint it's content. From the error I think it has something to do with xobject levels, but can I control that? Is it because of the way PdfContentByte.saveState & restoreState is used in the code? Andrei Costescu wrote (...) ERROR: limitcheck OFFENDING COMMAND: gsave STACK: /RelativeColorimetric (...)
