Since you have eliminated that as a possibility I am not sure what to recommend other than a new printer. Laserjet 2300 is an old printer, anyways 0 Poblano OP Best Answer Archangel1630 Jan 10, 2014 at 2:47 UTC Dont know what fixed it but had a guy who I work with print from it with his mac...it worked...and then all of the sudden it worked for me...I dont get. Oh well. 0 Ghost Chili OP Thanks A.J. Stringham Jan 10, 2014 at 3:43 UTC Check driver, the physical connection and power. What OS is it? What driver type are you using? PCL5, PCL6, PS? If it's a newer OS, it may or may not be compatible. Also, if you are using a machine specific driver, try the HP Universal Print driver. I've seen that work when others don't. Also, is this running through a print server? If it's running through a switch, are any other devices unable to be pinged that are on that same switch. Just trying to narrow down where the problem may lie. 0 This discussion has been inactive for over a year. You may get a better answer to your question by starting a new discussion. You may be using a Postscript driver on the printer. Or else you are printing PDFs which are not true Postscript. likely made by a postscript "compatible" software. Try loading a PCL driver for the printer. This will work just as well if not better than a postscript driver. You may find it faster. Check lexmark website under support andd downloads for an alternative driver for the printer, also considering your operating system. If you are printing PDFs or postscript files, the PCL driver may help there also.
