Hello everyone,We have an HP LaserJet 2605dn set up as error undefined offending command eexec a network printer doing irregular runs of a booklet that we are self publishing. Recently error undefined offending command g2ubegin we purchased a new iMac with 10.6.4 running and when it came to installing the printer things couldn't have gone smoother. It turns out error undefined offending command get stack /quit-dictionary--mark that HP bundled almost all of their printer drivers into the latest release of OS X so a driver was found automatically. However, when I try to print a copy of the 76 page booklet, at the top of https://www.prepressure.com/postscript/troubleshooting/errors the second page the following text is printed and the whole print job terminates:ERROR: unregisteredOFFENDING COMMAND: showSTACK:As far as the computers user is concerned the job printed without any problems but as you reach the printer, only one piece of A4 has been produced. After looking around on the web, I have gathered that this error is produced by the Postscript engine on the printer and is a result of a failure in the printer driver on https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2510740?start=0&tstart=0 the computer. Is this analysis correct, or is something else is wrong? It is not possible to download a replacement driver off of the HP website, there is a message telling you that the drivers are already in OS X.Any ideas?Daniel iMac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.7), HP LaserJet 2605dn Posted on Jul 18, 2010 3:32 AM I have this question too Close Q: HP LaserJet driver postscript error? Collation is turned on by default in Snow Leopard, and it uses a lot of memory. Try turning that off and seeing if it will print. (You will only want to print one copy at a time as you do this test.) However, as you have 2 of these machines, you can clone the settings (except the IP address!) of one printer to another with Xerox CentreWareWeb (http://www.office.xerox.com/software-solutions/xerox-centreware-web/enus.html).
