not to c:\Program Files\gs\bin\etc... but was pointing to a version of GS used by a local Typo3 installation on my machine. Solution was to start the print, click "Konfiguration" in the FreePDF main dialog and then "Pfad" click browse, select the correct path and fixed🙂
