get around "limitcheck" errors. Breaking up the print job in smaller entities can also do the trick. Print only one page or even one error syntax error offending command stack color at the time. Send your page without including the images to see whether images are causing the problem. Ungrouping objects can be very effective. Often groups and especially groups in groups or rotated groups of objects really make http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/quot-ERROR-limitcheck-OFFENDING-COMMAND-image-STACK-quot/td-p/2233513 it tough to render PostScript. Nesting files (e.g. placing an EPS in an EPS or placing a PDF file on a page) also adds to the complexity of a document and can lead to limitcheck errors (especially with the offending commands ‘save' and ‘restore'). If you have a printer with a limited amount of memory you could try to reduce the number of fonts used in the document. Use the option ‘split long paths' in drawing applications to https://www.prepressure.com/postscript/troubleshooting/errors/limitcheck split up complex path in easier to process chunks. If you are printing from Illustrator: if the document contains gradients, select Compatible Gradient Printing (Illustrator 7.x or earlier) or Compatible Gradient and Gradient Mesh Printing (Illustrator 8.0) in the Document Setup dialog box. Johan sent me an e-mail: He got a couple of limitcheck errors in PostScript 3 RIPs because of a very big ‘history' entry in Photoshop EPS metadata. The problem is solved by deleting the metadata, but finding the offending image can be tricky in a big project. Photoshop itself has no problem with such EPS files and they can be placed in QuarkXPress documents without a problem. Using TIFF or JPEG or making it a standard procedure to remove history info from metadata (or all meta data) are valid workarounds. Give your workflow, printer or RIP more room to work Lowering the resolution of your imagesetter or printer makes it easier for the RIP to calculate the job. This may seem odd but sometimes selecting a higher screen ruling is not such a bad idea as well. Reboot the RIP (or printer) to clear its memory. Some laser printers allow you to add more memory. That often does the trick and with the current RAM prices, it doesn't even cost that much. If you are still using an old PostScript level 1 RIP, perform a font cache delete if you ha

When I https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1855347?start=0&tstart=0 print a photo out of iPhoto I will get an Error Message (see Subject). But https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27954820/Printing-Error-Message-on-Mac-Devices.html when I export the same photo, then I could print it with any other application. It seems to be a problem with iPhoto but I can't find any solution or update. Any ideas?Thx__/om Mac OS X (10.5.6) Posted on Jan 7, 2009 4:41 AM I have this question too Close Q: Error: limitcheck Offending Command: image All replies Helpful answers by droac3, offending command droac3 Feb 4, 2009 10:20 PM in response to thgrund Level 1 (0 points) Feb 4, 2009 10:20 PM in response to thgrund I am getting the same as well with a HP P3005.Doug Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Andrew Sanderson, Andrew Sanderson Feb 5, 2009 3:00 PM in response to thgrund Level 1 (5 points) Feb 5, 2009 3:00 PM in response to thgrund Try setting the RAM Disk to off on the error limitcheck offending printer. I think it might have something to do with the drivers I am using for the printer. I am pretty sure that I used to print fine, but updated the drivers recently. The issue seemed to have started after that. I was trying to resolve other minor printing issues that would occasionally creep up. Now, my tiger machines cannot print out of iPhoto (I get nothing at all) and my Leopard machines get this error when they try to print. Other programs seem unaffected (can print fine.) Reduce the size or resolution or rotate the image at a different angle. There are a few Adobe applications that can produce this error if using old versions. Some ways to resolve your problem: - As mentioned earlier, reduce the side or resolution of your image - Update PostScript driver on your Mac Hope that helps 0 LVL 3 Overall: Level 3 Mac OS X 2 Apple OS 2 Apple Hardware 1 Message Accepted Solution by:jimminy_ebay2012-12-06 this is a postscript error, usually an ‘image’ error points to a problem
