This session lasted 4979 seconds with 2580 seconds of active time. This session ended with a crash. He crashes out when working on 1 pivot table. Everything else is fine. Al. Tuesday, October 21, 2008 11:00 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Hello SQ1234, The problem was with the user rather than the product. Once the user was shown how to add data to the pivot table correctly, Excel did not crash & it hasn't crashed since. It seems that there is a different way to add data to the pivot in 07, compared with Excel 2000 & Excel 2003. The user was doing it the "old" way, just clicking on the data he wanted to add to the pivot, then he got the crash. I'm no expert on Excel or Pivots but this is how it looks to me. Cheers Al. My copy of Outlook keeps crashing after only about 60 seconds of operation. I checked the error logs, and I see: ID: 6, Application Name: Microsoft Office Outlook, Application Version: 12.0.6514.5000, Microsoft Office Version: 12.0.6425.1000. This session lasted 33 seconds with 0 seconds of active time. This session ended with a crash. Source: office 2007 Office 12 Sessions Event ID: 7001 I will also see the error where the session ends with a hang, event ID of 7002. Either way, it's made my Outlook nigh unusable. Now, to this point, I totally changed my AV from mcafee to MS Security Essentials, to eliminate the mail scanner as a possibility. I have also disabled all outlook add-ons, and tried running outlook in safe mode. same error. I did try running the office 2007 office 2007 error diagnose and repair tool, also did not help. Google search also said to remove and re-add your mail accounts, but I don't use Outlook for mail, just for calendar and contacts to sync with Blackberry. SO.... after all my ramblings... anyone have any other ideas?
