I need some specific information from you. The product ID you mention, is it for Office 2010, 2007, 2003?, or is it for Windows? Did you purchase your PC from a licensed store (in person or online), or was it from a private third-party? Do you know what the license agreement for Office was when you purchased the PC? If you have a licensed edition of Office, you should have a product key and you should be able to use the Fix it Tool to uninstall and then re-install Office. Then you would re-apply the product key.
